OWN_RIV


This line coverage was created through the integration of three 
coverages: the EPA stream coverage for the Applegate Valley (RIVS_HUC); 
detailed ownership (OWNERS); and public land survey (REI_PLS).

The resulting line coverage provides stream information identical to the 
EPA stream coverage with the addition of information indicating the 
owner of the land through which a stream segment passes, along with the 
appropriate township, range and section

The scales of the source data are 1:100,000 for the stream and PLS data 
and 1:126,000 for the ownership data. The scale for this layer, then, is 
reported as 1:126,000. 

The resolution of this data is not sufficient to make site-specific 
conclusions. Analysis based on this data are subject to both positional 
and thematic error that are likely to be exacerbated at scales less than 
1:100,000.
