Interactive Maps

Ecotrust has created a range of interactive mapping applications — for data collection, management and display; for decision support; and for scenario visualization. We will strive to make these tools available to the public here.

The Gulf Project
A screen-capture video of a tool developed by Ecotrust for the Ocean Conservancy. This tool allows users to spatially evaluate fisheries landings based on years of activity and county of landing, and then to construct and evaluate scenarios for vessel reductions or spatial limits on fishing activity. Watershed Locator
Find your watershed! A mash-up of watershed-delineated datasets collected and standardized by Ecotrust for use with a Google baselayer.

Older applications

These two applications are still useful but are developed on an ArcIMS platform that Ecotrust is no longer utilizing.

Oregon Estuary Plan Book
Sixteen maps, each containing several data layers, allow for the exploration of specific management units and habitat types within Oregon's largest estuaries.

Portland Greenmap
Ecotrust is pleased to be part of the all-volunteer effort to bring you the Interactive Portland Greenmap. The mission of the Greenmap project is to strengthen the community's awareness of and connection to its urban ecology and social resources through locally created maps.
